Meet Josh
Co-founder & CEO
Josh brings more than 11 years of IT and security experience, supporting organizations ranging from Amazon to small businesses and government contractors. A CISSP, his strengths span security, technology strategy and project management, with a focus on controlling costs and getting more value from existing systems and vendor relationships.
His experience includes risk assessment, incident response, infrastructure design and compliance implementation. He led a government contractor’s CMMC and NIST implementation work, designing infrastructure around demanding requirements and a tight budget, and guided the fully remote organization through a third-party CMMC 2.0 assessment, with no on-premises infrastructure.
Josh starts with conversation: understanding the business, asking questions and making complicated decisions easier to follow. He brings plain language, humor and creative problem-solving to his work. At Brassrook, he leads business strategy and client relationships, helping organizations make practical technology decisions that support their goals, budgets and security needs.
Why I started Brassrook
A note from Josh
I started Brassrook to bring what I’ve learned across large organizations, small businesses and government contracting to a wider range of clients. I enjoy the challenge of making technology work within real constraints: limited budgets, existing systems and demanding security or compliance requirements.
That experience has shaped the kind of company I want Brassrook to be: approachable, resourceful and clear about what clients actually need. I want business owners to feel comfortable asking questions, understand their options and have confidence in the decisions they’re making. Brassrook gives us the opportunity to build those relationships, solve different kinds of problems and keep expanding our own capabilities along the way.
